After the Kelly Gallery, well it had to be something quite different and The Textile Towerhouse in Hawick is certainly that. The clue to the venue really is in the name. “between myth and legend” is showing in a round room, part of Drumlanrig House and hundreds of years old – small but perfectly formed.
Our curator of choice this time is Shaureen Lammie who works there so we had no worries about not knowing how to work such a random shape – flat two-dimensional work showing on a round background might not have worked but it does.
It is half the size of Glasgow so we’re having a half and half show as it were – 6 weeks with one group, a Private View in between and then 6 weeks with the second group…and the opportunity to visit more than once of course.
I trust you will enjoy!
